California Rare Fruit Growers
Founded in 1968, California Rare Fruit Growers (CRFG) is the largest amateur fruit-growing organization in the world, with members in 48 states and U.S. territories, and 30 countries. The worldwide membership of CRFG includes many nationally recognized botanical gardens, rare fruit enthusiasts, commercial fruit growers, and internationally recognized horticultural researchers. The organization has a general interest in all aspects of fruit growing with a primary focus on semitropical fruits and uncommon fruits and vegetables.
The Seed Guild
The Seed Guild buys seed from botanic gardens all over the world and makes them available to amateur gardeners and commercial outlets so they can have the opportunity to obtain unusual and sometimes rare seeds which are not generally on commercial seed lists.

Plants for a Future
A resource and information center for edible and other useful plants. It is a project to gather together and disseminate information on the many useful properties of plants, particularly those plants which are less common.
The Cyber-Plantsman
Valuable and interesting information for the serious gardener. This includes profiles of plant societies, lists of events, book reviews, interviews, and sources for rare plants and seeds.
Phytochemical and Ethnobotany Databases
Browsable adn searchable databases of plant chemicals and worldwide uses of plants. Includes Native American medicinal and food plants.
