A RAMADDA Data Server Tutorial

RAMADDA (Repository for Archiving, Managing and Accessing Diverse Data) is a comprehensive content repository, publishing platform and collaboration environment for the Earth Sciences. The main web site is at:

RAMADDA differs from THREDDS in that it not only provides lists of files and their metadata, but also keeps track of those things in a database. The database is populated by scanning the local (or a remote) filesystem with what is called a harvester.
