Software for oceanographic applications

This is a list of software that doesn't fit into the circulation model or graphics categories, e.g. oceanographic atlases, T-S property calculation software, etc.

objan

Objective analysis code for the analysis of scalar fields. The package comes with Fortran and C versions of the software.

Atlast

An oceanographic atlas for IBM-PC compatible computers.

OceanAtlas

An oceanographic atlas for Macintosh computers.

SEAWATER library

A library of MATLAB routines to compute various properties of seawater developed by Phillip Morgan.

Map projection interpolation

A collection of Fortran routines that support interpolation from polar stereographic grids to lat-lon grids.

GBYTES/SBYTES

Fortran callable routines for unpacking/packing of arbitrary length bit groups. This routines can be used to isolate and right justify packed bit groups to make it possible to access them easily from Fortran, a language that requires this. The opposite process can also be performed to pack bits into smaller memory spaces.

Geostatistics

Geostatistics software at the Inst. of Mineralogy at the University of Lausanne. This includes the US EPA GeoEAS geostatistical program (DOS), a geostatistical tool box (DOS) and VarioWin, a set of programs for 2D spatial data analsysis (Windows).
