(aside. it's interesting to see how in the early days emily had the most spare songs, but in th e latter days, amy has. of course, i haven't marked who wrote what, so you'll just have to find a copy!)."
Neil Innes
Neil Innes - Half Moon, Putney, London, Sep. 10, 2006
Notes:
Title: Neil Innes 10Sep2006 Artist: Neil Innes Venue: The Half Moon, Putney London UK Date: 10th September 2006 Audience Recording Lineage: Core Sound Low-cost Binaurals into a Sharp MD recorder. Digital-Optical transfer to Pi oneer Hi-fi CD-R deck. Extracted from CD-Rs to .wav files via EAC and converted to .flac files via Flac Frontend. A solo performance from Neil Innes, accompanying himself on guitars, banjo, saz(?), harmonica a nd keyboard. Various props: a stetson, a beret, a droopy false moustache, a pair of dark glasse s, a giant pair of spectacles and a big duck, a duck call plus a tiny little duck bubble-blower were used in the course of proceedings; which are unfortunately unavailable in audio so you're just going to have to exercise your imaginations where and when they came into play. Audience participation was encouraged. The first set was a -lot- shorter than the second. Apparently Mr Innes completely forgot to do one first-set song and did it during the second set instead. Hence CD1 is a mere 36-odd minutes while CD2 is well over an hour, including two encores. CD1: First Set Brave Sir Robin Eye Candy Sit Down Comedy Disillusioned (?) Jollity Farm Come On Everybody/Banjo On My Knee (?) S'Early In The Morning (?) L'Amour Francaise (?) I Love You (?) Face Mail In The Meat Zone The Philosophers' Song CD2: Second Set Protest Song (?) Eurovision Song (?) Eine Kleine Middle-Klasse Musik (?) Evening Sun A Popular Song (?) Rutles Medley Friends At The End Never Alone All Alone Ego Warriors One Of Those People I'm The Urban Spaceman Encore: How Sweet To Be An Idiot Encore: Back In '64 Neil has a CD of recent material called Works In Progress and assorted other goodies available at gigs and from his website http://www.neilinnes.org
