Color Charts

I've created a couple of GMT scripts that create color charts containing 80 samples of fairly popular and oft-used colors. I found this necessary because the colors didn't look at all the same on the screen and on the hardcopy printer we're using. These can be printed on any color printer to show you what that particular machine prints out for specific RGB combinations. Here are PostScript and GIF versions of both charts as well as the GMT scripts used to create them.

Those wonderful folks at NCAR Graphics have created several sets of named colors with the corresponding hex and RGB values. Their categories are:
